About this opportunity
The Indigenous Resource Grant provides one-off financial assistance to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students at RMIT University to help with various costs that may impede the continuation of their studies. This grant is designed to support Indigenous students facing specific financial barriers related to their coursework requirements. The grant covers several categories of expenses including unpaid Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement assistance, course material and excursion fees, flight training costs, mandatory technology and software requirements, and professional development opportunities such as conferences and workshops. Students must be enrolled in an RMIT program, have confirmed their Indigenous heritage with the Ngarara Willim Centre, and demonstrate how the assistance will aid in continuing their studies. The grant amounts vary depending on the type of expense, with unpaid WIL placement assistance up to $3,000, materials/excursion fees up to $400, flight training costs up to $3,000, technology requirements up to $500, and professional development support up to $1,000.
