About this opportunity
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research to better understand the relationship between 24-hour movement behaviours and cancer risk, focusing on both primary prevention and cancer survival strategies. The scholarship is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and offers stipend support for doctoral research at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. The research aims to advance understanding of how physical activity, sedentary behavior, and sleep patterns throughout the 24-hour day relate to cancer prevention and outcomes for cancer survivors. Recipients will work within a research environment focused on translating findings about movement behaviors into strategies that can reduce cancer risk and improve survival rates.
