About this opportunity
The Robertson Fellowships were created through a generous donation from Dr. Bev Robertson to the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. The scholarship is designed to support graduate student research in the areas of science in public policy. These fellowships provide significant financial support to graduate students enrolled in either the Master of Public Policy (MPP) or PhD program at the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Regina.
Master's students receive $20,000 for one year with the option to renew up to one time, while PhD students receive $35,000 per year for one year with the option to renew up to two times. Recipients must maintain a minimum first class average (80%) and be enrolled full-time during the tenure of the award.
As part of the fellowship requirements, students must volunteer ten hours per week at the JSGS Centre for Science and Public Policy during the tenure of the award. This provides valuable hands-on experience in applying scientific research to public policy questions. The fellowship is awarded through nomination by the Johnson-Shoyama School of Public Policy rather than through direct application.
