Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut (AUB) is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members across six faculties: Arts and Sciences, Medicine, Engineering and Architecture, Agricultural and Food Sciences, Health Sciences, and Business. Carmen and Ray Debbane Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

The Carmen and Ray Debbane Scholarship supports the undergraduate studies of the best FAFS students at the American University of Beirut. It is paid annually for the duration of the recipient's FAFS-AUB degree (3-4 years). The scholarship program offers 2 merit-based scholarships to selected high performing grade 12 students with high SAT composite scores and academic grades, accepted to one of FAFS undergraduate programs. The scholarship helps ensure the student's success every step of the way through financial support, mentoring and advising, hands on learning, community service, and career counseling. It helps ensure that the most gifted high school students in Lebanon and the region can boldly aspire to join the next cohort of FAFS students in Agriculture, Food and Environment, and become the future leaders of their communities.

Regional Graduate Scholarship

The Regional Graduate Scholarship is offered by the American University of Beirut's Faculty of Health Sciences to students from the Arab region pursuing graduate degrees in public health. A limited number of partial or full scholarships are available to students interested in MPH and MS programs at FHS. The scholarship is specifically designed to support nationals from Arab countries who demonstrate commitment to service in public health in the region. Scholarships are awarded to new students admitted into the Graduate Public Health Program (GPHP) for the fall semester of every academic year. Recipients must have been accepted on a regular basis into the GPHP program and must have passed the English Language Proficiency Requirement by achieving the required score on EEE, TOEFL, or IELTS. Selection is based on criteria including commitment to public health service in the region, relevance and duration of work experience in public health or related fields, and local need for public health graduates in the applicant's country.

Tomorrow's Leaders Graduate Program (MEPI-TLG)

The Tomorrow's Leaders Graduate (TLG) Program supports students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region by providing a unique opportunity to pursue higher education and earn a master's degree at a U.S.-accredited university in the MENA region. The TLG program intends to cultivate leadership skills and the spirit of civic engagement and volunteerism among exceptional students. TLG targets students from around the region who are academically qualified but who are otherwise unable to afford American-style higher education. Students will enroll at the graduate level at one of the hosting institutions: the American University of Beirut (AUB), the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Lebanon, and the American University in Cairo (AUC) in Egypt. TLG equips graduate students with professional experience needed to advance knowledge and contribute to the achievement of socially relevant outcomes through research that furthers the professionalization of emerging leaders. Upon returning to their home countries, participants join a network of over 1200 program alumni serving as leaders across the MENA region.

Zaha Hadid Scholars Program

The Zaha Hadid Scholars Program at the American University of Beirut is a scholarship initiative established by the Zaha Hadid Foundation to honor the life and legacy of the late architect Dame Zaha Hadid and her commitment to supporting students of architecture. Beginning in September 2025 and for each of the next three academic years, the program will fully fund and provide additional support to two architecture students for the five years of their undergraduate education at the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at AUB. The students will be selected based on need and merit. The program commemorates Zaha Hadid's connection to AUB, where she studied mathematics in 1968-69 and later received an Honorary Doctorate in 2006. The Raji and Fawzieh Sinno Scholarship in Agriculture for Undergraduate Students

The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FAFS) at the American University of Beirut is offering up to full tuition scholarships to undergraduate students who are newly admitted to the undergraduate program of Agricultural Sciences. The Raji and Fawzieh Sinno scholarship program is designed for merit students and aims to foster leaders and agents of change in the field of Agriculture at FAFS. The scholarship is designated for prospective students who meet the criteria considering their grades, leadership skills, extracurricular activities and community involvement. Awardees will be granted up to full tuition scholarships covering either three or four years of study at FAFS|AUB. Performance will be monitored to ensure that recipients continue to retain good academic standing throughout the period covered. Students who do not maintain good academic standing may be dropped from the scholarship program. In addition to financial support, scholarship recipients will be paired with a mentor for guidance and support needed to develop as future leaders. President's Merit Scholarship Program

The President's Merit Scholarship Program at the American University of Beirut is a merit-based scholarship awarded to several top incoming students across all faculties who have distinguished themselves both inside and outside the classroom and have a proven commitment to the pursuit of excellence for the greater good. The scholarship is awarded by invitation only to first-year students (freshmen, sophomore, and medical students) who demonstrate exceptional academic and leadership achievements. Up to 10 scholarships are awarded per cohort starting with students entering in fall 2024-25.
