About this opportunity
This scholarship supports fourth year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students to undertake an animal welfare placement in Africa, developing country, or developed country. The scholarship was established in 2017 in memory of Graham Jew by his daughter Eleanor Jew. Graham started his career in a rural mixed practice in northern NSW, before working and travelling throughout Southern Africa. The scholarship aims to support students to contribute to improving animal welfare in developing countries whilst gaining experience to develop their careers and make a lasting contribution to veterinary science. Preference is given to students who undertake placements in Africa, followed by developing countries, and then developed countries offering opportunities to learn about global animal health and development.
