About this opportunity

This scholarship supports an outstanding postgraduate research student at the Faculty of Science to undertake PhD research investigating plant pathogen interactions, specifically examining the environmental pathogen causing myrtle rust. The research will be conducted under the supervision of Professor Robert Park. Candidates should have a background or interest in plant molecular biology, plant disease resistance and plant fungal pathogens, computational and genome biology, and scripting languages such as Python or R. The scholarship is supported by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship and provides a living allowance for up to 3.5 years of full-time study.
