About this opportunity

The Fauvette Loureiro Memorial Scholarship is a travel scholarship established from the estate of Renee Fauvette Erdos in 1997, in memory of her mother, Fauvette Loureiro. This scholarship provides financial support of up to $10,000 to students at the Sydney College of the Arts undertaking approved travel programs relevant to their studies. The scholarship supports various types of travel including University of Sydney Exchange Programs, residency programs within Australia, overseas fieldwork for Higher Degree Research students, and travel within Australia or internationally to participate in or present at significant exhibitions, conferences, workshops, film festivals, film or screen arts masterclasses, internships, attachments, or events. Recipients must be enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, Master of Fine Arts, or practice-led PhD programs at Sydney College of the Arts. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, a personal statement demonstrating the relevance of travel to studies, a detailed budget, and itinerary. Recipients must conduct their travel and project within 12 months from the date of award and are required to maintain receipts for all costs incurred. The scholarship value is paid as a one-off payment and cannot be deferred without prior permission.
