About this opportunity
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research involving improving agricultural work health and safety data management with at least one specified commodity group. The scholarship is funded by AgriFutures Australia and is part of the broader Ag Safety Dat Net (ASDN) project funded by the Rural Safety and Health Alliance. The successful applicant will work in conjunction with at least one commodity group (e.g. beef, cotton, dairy, pigs, sheep), to develop a set of Work Health and Safety (WHS) lead indicators. Lead indicators are factors that reduce the occurrence of injury and may include hazard identification and control, worker communication and training about risks. The Scholarship provides a stipend allowance of $40,100 per annum for up to 3 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
