About this opportunity
The Scott J. Simenas Undergraduate Physics Teaching Fellowship Fund is established to provide annual awards for up to two undergraduate physics majors to serve as assistant teachers and tutors to undergraduate students of any major who are enrolled in physics courses. This fellowship supports juniors or seniors who have demonstrated excellence in their studies with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 and demonstrate high financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Recipients engage in teaching, mentoring, or tutoring activities that benefit both the physics students they serve and their own career development. The fellowship provides valuable hands-on teaching experience for undergraduate students interested in education, pedagogy, or continuing in physics-related fields. Preference is given to U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens as outlined by the U.S. Department of Education. Award amounts vary based on the proposed activities and departmental funding availability.
