About this opportunity
The Carlyle Greenwell Research Scholarship in Archaeology supports students enrolled in Archaeology at the University of Sydney to undertake research projects. The scholarship was bequeathed by Carlyle Greenwell, an architect, for student research, field work and original literary work in Anthropology (including Archaeology). Recipients can use the funds for research expenses, fieldwork costs, and other project-related expenditures. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, project details including the research problem and proposed methods, detailed budget justification, and a letter of support from the research supervisor. Recipients must submit a report of the work undertaken and an itemized account of funds expended within three months of completion. The scholarship cannot be used for thesis preparation or retrospective funding, and previous recipients may re-apply when their previous scholarship ends if the total awarded is below the maximum value.
