Small Grants - Programme One: Community Services and Infrastructure

Shetland Charitable Trust Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Shetland Charitable Trust Small Grants programme provides funding to constituted community groups and registered charities in Shetland with annual income less than £100,000. The programme aims to improve quality of life in Shetland by supporting activities and facilities that could not otherwise exist in the islands. Small Grants can cover revenue funding for charitable day-to-day services or activities, or capital costs for equipment purchases or building adaptations. The Trust focuses on five Quality of Life goals: Enabling Strong and Resilient Organisations, Community Wellbeing, Individual Wellbeing, Everyone Matters, and Generational Fairness. Funding can span from one year to a maximum of four years for revenue costs, with new applicants potentially receiving one year initially to establish a track record. The Trust supports up to 90% of total eligible costs and has a long-term perspective focused on sustainability and meaningful community impact.
