Temple University Education Abroad and Overseas Campuses is a division of Temple University that facilitates international education experiences for students. Watanabe Study Abroad Scholarship

The Toshizo Watanabe Endowed Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students for semester or year-long study abroad programs in either the United States or Japan. Temple Merit Scholarship Educational Enhancement Stipend

St. Andrew's Society Scholarship

The St. Andrew's Society of Philadelphia awards $22,000 scholarships to sophomore students from local universities to spend their junior year studying at one of four Scottish universities. A Temple faculty committee interviews applicants and chooses one candidate. That candidate competes with candidates from other local institutions for up to five scholarships. This is a competitive scholarship program that requires applicants to be in their sophomore year and possess at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average. Students from most disciplines may apply.

Sogang Global Scholarship

The Office of International Affairs at Sogang University offers the Sogang Global Scholarship to selected exchange students participating in their exchange program. The scholarship amounts to KRW 900,000, which covers 50% of the dormitory fee for students staying at the on-campus Gonzaga Hall dormitory. Priority is given to students who are the first from their home institution to participate in the Sogang Exchange Program and students who are under housing agreements between Sogang University and their home university. The scholarship is offered on the condition that recipients stay at the on-campus dormitory for the entire period stated in their dormitory application form. Students apply through the Sogang Exchange Application Portal and must submit a brief essay, with academic performance also taken into consideration.

Society of the Sons of St. George Scholarship

The Robert J. Rhodes Scholarships

Rhodes Scholarships provide funding for two years of graduate study at Oxford University in Oxford, England. This prestigious scholarship is open to students from all disciplines who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership skills. Applicants must be in their senior year of undergraduate study and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents between 18 and 24 years of age. The Pierre C. Fraley Scholarship is administered by the Alliance Française and provides funding to give students the opportunity to increase their language proficiency in French and to enrich their understanding of French culture and contemporary society. The Alliance Française scholarship committee evaluates applications based on need, merit, and the applicant's career plans when making award decisions. Preference is given to residents of the tri-state area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware) or to out-of-area students who are enrolled at a university in the tri-state area. Applicants must be French language students with at least a B1 level of proficiency or French teachers with no more than 3 years of teaching experience. The program must be conducted in French and can be located in either the United States or in a Francophone country, subject to approval by the Alliance Française's Scholarship committee.

The Pennsylvania Council for International Education and The Asia Institute are offering $2000 in scholarship funding to support students seeking to participate in global learning experiences in Asia. The Passport Scholarship provides financial assistance of up to $165.00 to first-year and transfer students at Temple University who are applying for a United States passport for the first time and intend to study abroad. This scholarship amount is intended to equal the application cost for a U.S. Passport. The program was established by Temple University's previous president, Ann Weaver Hart, and her husband, Randy, to help Temple students pursue personal and intellectual growth through international experiences by supporting the cost of passport fees for undergraduate students planning to study abroad. The IES Public University Grant provides an automatic $2,000 credit toward IES Abroad semester and academic year/calendar year programs for students attending public colleges or universities that are members of the IES Abroad Consortium. The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) provides scholarships to help U.S. undergraduate students participate in study abroad programs. FEA awards scholarships of up to $10,000 for students who plan to study abroad for a full academic year; $5,000 for students who plan to study abroad during the fall or spring semester; and prorated awards by number of weeks in-country (with a minimum of $1,250) for students studying abroad during summer. Fulbright UK Summer Institutes for US Undergraduates

The US-UK Fulbright Commission offers U.S. citizens the opportunity to participate in Summer Institutes in the UK. The institutes, hosted by six different universities in the U.K., focus on academic and cultural enrichment and range from three to six weeks. The Summer Institutes will cover the majority of participant costs including round-trip airfare from the U.S. to the U.K., tuition and fees at the host university/institution, accommodation and meals and in some cases a small daily allowance. Temple students interested in participating in one of these programs must complete the External Programs Approval Process. For most of the institutions, students will follow instructions for direct enrollment in a foreign university. In order to receive approval for the program, it must last at least 28 days, as outlined in Temple's external program approval criteria.

Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA)

The Freeman-ASIA program is designed to support U.S.-based undergraduates with demonstrated financial need who are planning to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. The program's goal is to increase the number of U.S. citizens and permanent residents with first-hand exposure to and understanding of Asia and its peoples and cultures. From its inception in 2001, Freeman-ASIA has made study abroad in East and Southeast Asia possible for over 5,000 U.S. undergraduates from more than 600 institutions.

Franca T. Camiz Memorial Scholarship

The Franca T. Camiz Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarship aid for undergraduate Art History majors who are planning to study for at least one semester at Temple Rome. This scholarship honors Franca Camiz, who taught Renaissance and Baroque art history at Temple University Rome for many years. Students who apply for a Temple University Rome Semester scholarship will automatically be considered for this award.
